one of the first ever produced pieces of animation would have been the magic lantern.
this simple lantern would project an image on to a wall using a candle and a simple picture.
the zoetrope was first designed by a chinese man called Ting Haun. the idea of this design was to spin a cylinder with slits in it and an image printed on the inside. due to the image spinning it looks as though the image is moving.
the flip book is a simple idea using images put on top of another then played in a organized sequence to create the illusion that the images are moving.
stop motion is a commonly used form of animation. this form uses pictures placed one on top of the other then played in a simple sequence.
CGI is basically the most known and most up to date form of animation . it is images placed onto a a green background using computers also creating the 3D effect. this is done by rendering the computerized models with shade and color to make the images look as realistic as possible.
