in media production today we took the chance to update our blogs for the first our and check that our work was up to date.

in the second half of the class we edited our practice animation and added sound FX and took out pictures with hands in the frame. after the piece is finished it shall be added to this blog as evidence that it has been finished and completed.

friday last week :(

creation of our practice and final animation for show racism the red card. we begun almost straight away with creating pieces that where missing and putting the animation together here is our final production.

on tuesday

in media production last week we had a practice animation using  plastacine and plastic flexible models. me and my group decided to make a rock band gig. to make the animation we needed to take picture after picture to build a moving but slightly jumpy animation. this was practice for fridays final animation from the storyboard on Show.

Both msn.co.uk and bbc.co.uk offer customisable homepages without logging in, allowing the user to choose the information that they wantdisplayed on the page. Both sites have weather feeds that can be set to the users hometown and news feeds.there  is a huge selection of other selections, such as news, sport, entertainment and more. MSN offers a more commercial side, with advertising, shopping links, whereas BBC has more of its own content on offers, such as children's programming, BBCiplayer and a food section.

today in media production we made podcast using all of the information we had used to create our web pages. using garage band we put it together just within the deadline

today in web content we learned how to use the html to program our bloggers font and change the lay out using the html this is all we did :(

what we did

in media production we did research on our project i.e 2 faced dance  and tried to create a web page set up with the information that we had collected.

in Com's we researched a band called link in park and were told to write an essay on the history of the band.

 in most of the classes bar the two described  we did our research for our main project 

A search engine is a website that uses many urls to help you find a web page you are looking for. a prime example of this is Google. Google is the best well known search engine on the web or at-least in the uk and usa. This site allows you to search for any website you are looking for or any query or suggestion and it shall come back with a large selection of hyperlinks to different web pages with your search key words in connection to the page.

The difference between flickr and google is the pictures on flickr have been taken by people
and the pictures on google are animated aswell as edited. Flickr uses real pictures that have not been edited to my knowledge. the pictures on flickr are mainly seen as blog photo's. once the user has uploaded a picture others view the pictures and comment on them making a form of "photo blog". on google the photo's are taken from all over the web and terned into hyperlinks aswell as pictures you may copy and paste as you please.

today in class we checked out and analyzed different  video sharing web sites. the first one most of the class including me checked out was Youtube.com.

www.youtube.com - you tube is a great website where you can find almost any sort of video whether it is to help you do something or just simply to listen to music it has a wide variety of videos. The site also allows you to create an account and upload videos of your own and also giving you the choice to follow other video makers. you can rate, add to favorites and leave comments on the makers profile and video. In a sense you can use you tube to contact people so it may be used a s a social networking site if thats what you want to use it for. you tube also has a legal copyright act on videos this means if you make a video and upload it on you tube with a sound track on it youtube will scan the track to see if it is an copyright offense. if in some case it is they shall remove the track from you video but leave the video uploaded. 

google video's - Google videos gives you very little choice in comparison to you tube but it does have a fair range of choice. unlike you tube Google video's does not let you comment or rate a video but only watch. the site does however allow you to upload a video if you have an account with google. the quality on google video's is not the best but is ok for small screen viewing.

today we also had a go at Photoshop editing software and personally im not keen on the layout or the functions. we edited pictures
